Problem Space

As a member of the UX design team, I was assigned a project related to Defense. The project was creating two product variants with a similar look and feel but different functions. Our team consisted of two UX designers and multiple engineers who divided the work of each product.

Solution Space

We took inspiration form Google, which has multiple products with a similar look and feel, to create two different logos and color schemes. However, we kept the overall layout and font of both products the same. Using sources such as Material and Wave to focus on achieving 508 compliance, accessibility, and consistency for our design

Implementation + Customer Space

At first, our team was divided into two groups to work on Project A and Project B. However due to time constraints and budgeting, the decision was made to merge the teams and focus on Project A. After several sprints, we were able to complete multiple features for Project A and launched it after passing our internal tests. During this time, some of our members branched off due to contract length, including our second designer. With a reduced team, I worked on developing a style guide for Project B and implemented various findings from Project A for improvements

As my contract was nearing it's end, I compiled everything worked on for handoff to the remaining team. The collaboration with this amazing team led to the completion of one full product and half of the second.
